Our Programs
PRE-TRADE He Toki is a collaborative training initiative that incorporates Tokona te Raki (formally Te Tapuae o Rehua), Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, Ara Institute of Canterbury, Otago Polytechnic and industry partner Hawkins Construction. Our partners provide assistance for local Māori to engage in educational training and on-the-job work experience to employment.
Tokona te Raki’s mission is to rally takatā whenua and takatā tiriti around a shared vision of Māori potential. Our goal is to create income, employment and tertiary education equity for Māori in Te Waipounamu.
Pre-Trade
Use your skills to start learning a trade. We have various training courses available Ara Institute of Canterbury and Otago Polytechnic.
Apprenticeship
We can help you access high quality sustainable employment and apprenticeship programmes with a variety of industry organisations.
Engineering
We offer assistance to help you specialise in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying and architecture technology.
